The eSIE: Environmental DNA for Science Investigation and Education Program is proud to announce a call for the 2019 CALeDNA Summer Research Institute. This week-long intensive research training will take place from June 24-26, 2019 at UCLA & UCSC, so you can choose a preferred campus. This program is offered for free to students interested in biology.
The Summer Research Institute will equip participants with background knowledge on eDNA, environmental field sampling skills, laboratory training, and general professional development tools (e.g how to get the most out of your summer, build a good relationship with your lab/mentor/professor, oral presentation skills, resume builder etc).
2019 CALeDNA Summer Research Program
The eSIE: Environmental DNA for Science Investigation and Education Program is proud to announce a call for the 2019 CALeDNA Summer Research Program. This program provides a 10 week intensive research experience for up to four eligible students per campus (UCLA or UCSC) interested in environmental DNA (eDNA) research. The 2019 CALeDNA Summer Research Program will run from June 24 to September 6, 2019. The stipend for undergraduate interns is ~$2,600 total for 10 weeks at 20 hrs/week. Interns will gain first-hand experience in scientific investigation in a dynamic, collaborative research environment. Each intern will develop and complete a project with a UCLA or UCSC (based on your home campus) faculty member and a lab mentor who will provide training and support.
